    If the weather is cold boiling water is used and if the weather is warm cold water is used.
    Water is used to seperate the butter from the milk
    The butter is lifted out the churn by a wooden hand for the purpose and put into a wooden dish
    Before people started churning they put a quenched coal under the churn, so that no stranger could take the butter.
    It is said that on May Morning a stranger could take the butter.
    The buttermilk is used for making bread and for colds. If a person has a cold they put down buttermilk and put sugar on it and then drink it. The butter is made in a dish with butterspades.
