    The local landlord was called Mr Arran who lived at Castlegore. The people looked upon him as not being very hard.
    All the people used to have to cut his oats for him and save all his crops for him.
    One day my Grandfather Mr Walshe was working for one of the landlords and he said "That I may see the day that I will not have to do this". and the landlord made him work all the day without getting anything to eat.
    If the people improved their houses such as putting in larger windows a pound extra was put on their rent
