- Once upon a time there were two men coming from Bally-Castle about two o'clock in the morning. When they were coming at Miss Gardener's road they saw a dog and he as white as snow. When they came nearer to him he started backing and he kept backing until came to a gullet which was in the road and down he went into it. They did not take much notice of that, but when they looked again they saw a black pig. Neither of them was afraid because they had drink taken but they prayed to God to keep back the pig.
