- Long ago, in olden times, it is said that between two hills in Lisduogue there was a well in which a women was drowned and that well was closed on that account. Some hundreds of years after, that well was repaired again and the people started to get water in it. It is said that the girl that was drowned in it was called Betty. It is said that now and again that the girl is to be seen there at night. The well was called after the girl; so so the name of it is Tuber Betty.
