- There is a whitethorn bush growing in Pollbuidhe in the townland of Knockfree. There was a man named Clark living in Knockfree and he dreamt that there was a pot of gold buried at the foot of the bush. One night he went to dig for it and after a while he came on a large square flag. He saw a man coming up the road with a light and he went from the bush and hid until the man passed. When Clark came over to the bush he could not see the square flag and if he was digging ever since he would not come on the gold.
