The first gift Will asked was what-ever man would take his sledge in his hand could not leave it down again until Will himself would take it out of his hands. The second gift was that the man that would sit in his armchair could not leave it until Will would take him out of it. The third gift was that the piece of gold he would put in his purse could not be take out until himself would take it out. They gave Will the three gifts and off they went again.
Two days after the devil came to Will Couper and he told him that he would give him three thousand pounds if he would come with him at the end of seven years. Will said that he would go with him at the end of seven years. So the Devil gave him all the money and off with him again
Will started to build a little town with the money and his wife did not know how he was getting so rich. At the end of the seven years the Devil came to Will and asked him if he was ready to go with him and Will said that(continues on next page)- Collector
