    Doirín: That is the name of the village in which I live. Doirín means the little oak grove and therefore there must be a wood in Doirín long ago.
    Gairidh Garbh: That is the name of a place in in Doirín and it means rough garden. It is situated up on the top of a hillock and it is always rough and windy. The time of the big wind there was a house in that garden and there was a man and his servant boy living in it. They went to bed and fell asleep They slept the whole night long and never heard the wind. When they got up in the morning they did not know what had happened when they saw their oats and hay scattered. They came down the village
