4th cure; Go to where a stream of river forms a boundary between two parishes. Bring the child across it three times in one direction, praying while doing so.
5th cure: Give a magpie's soup to the child.
6th cure: Tie a spit - nancy (i. e. some hairy kind of an animal of the snail species) in a rag around the childs neck and leave it there until it dries.
