    Ballyporeen late that evening to go home. Then the searching began in the snow which lasted a week.
    People from Cork, Waterford and Tipperary and a number of guards took part in the search and couldn't find a trace of him. He was found eight or nine days afterward by Con Baldwin, a neighbour of his, within a hundred yards of his home when the snow had melted away.
