    Daniel Flannigan travels six miles in less than an hour.
    Great Jumpers
    Garret Colbert of Lismore jumped a canal twenty-eight-and-a-half feet wide. Thade Denneghy of Lismore also, during the Horse Show followed the horses, performing the same jumps as they did.
    Powerful Swimmers or Oarsmen
    Jack and Robert McGrath of Camphire won several races with paddle cots at the Cappoquin Regatta.
    Great Mowers
    Michael Murphy of Killaha, Cappoquin mowed three acres a day while Tom Kiely of Knockalara, Cappoquin mowed two acres a day.
    Great Singers and Dancers
    Maurice and Michael Phelan of Camphire were both very good singers.
    Patrick Connell of Morehill, Tallow was a noted dancer, his favourite dances being hornpipe and reel.
