  1. A Song - The Bike and the Hike (continued)

Dear Sir, I am pleased to appraise you, The bicycle duly was found...

    (continued from previous page)
    They're trifles I truly concede.
It's the legs as it were of the mount, sir,
    That's making me worry indeed.
    -
The dear old machine was a Humber,
And modestly up to the mark,
It bore quite a notable number,
You hardly saw that in the dark.
You (ke) knew it was mine you mine you were at, sir,
On was I the victim of chance,
I fondly believed it was that, sir,
As home-ward I liked from the dance
    -
Your conscience I daresay is plastic,
And moulds to the manner you like,
    I'd even essay 'twas elastic
The night you made friends with my bike.
No matter, dear sir, I'm your debtor,
And you I'd be honoured to meet.
A Doctor could do it no better,
The way you put me on my feet.
    -
I give the best of the deal, sir,
For you it may always be fine.
Whenever you go on your wheel, sir,
Or rather the wheel that was mine.
