  2. 1) Boiling well is situated east of Tallow on Northern portion of Townland of Loughnasollins.
    2) Situated in a flat boggy field. There was a white thorn bush near it.
    3) On Easter Sunday people paid visits.
    4) Waters were supposed to cure disease.
    5) Three Hail Marys were said while people walked around the white thorn bush.
    White rags were then left on bush.
    This well was known to move from place to place.
    This well is known as St. Brittan's Well. Rounds were made there on Easter Sunday morning. Rags were hung on a whitethorn tree which grew nearby. The water was believed to have been a cure for sore eyes. A trout supposed to be seen there every seventh year. A girl named [Mary?] Doolan said that she saw it and is now afraid to go there.
