- It is said that there once lived a widow in a little house near the Teamparllin (in Camphire district). She was very poor and often had little or nothing to eat.
One day she was very hungry so she went to a farmer's house nearby. These people were very wealthy and owned several farms throughout the country. The poor widow asked the woman of the house for food but the farmer's wife refused her. As the widow turned bitterly away she said that a day would come when there would not be one of this family in Camphire. Slowly but surely the widow's curse was being fulfilled(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
