    of the person who was bleeding.
    For rickets only a certain person had a cure who was usually a blacksmith. The child who had them would be taken to a person who had the charm. He would be taken to the forge then and the blacksmith would redden the iron and touch the nails of his fingers and toes with it. The child was then thrown across the anvil three times. The person had to visit the forge three times for this purpose.
    People used to go to the blessed well to be cured. They had to be there before sunrise in the morning.
