- A riddle is a question which we cannot understand. Q. A man went to town and bought eight gallons of whiskey in one jar. On his way home he met a man with a three gallon and a five gallon jar, who wanted four gallons of the whiskey. How were they to divide it?
A. He filled the three gallon jar and put it into the five gallon one. He filled the three gallon one again and put two gallon into the five gallon one. He then had one gallon in the three gallon jar, two in the eight gallon one, and give in the five gallon one. He emptied the five gallons into the eight gallon(continues on next page)- Collector
