    many riding on horse back who for the most part used choss the country from the church to the house of the wedding feast, jumping hedges and ditches and everything that came in the way, in a mad scramble to see who would win the race and be there first.
    Then the eating and drinking singing and dancing would begin in earnest and continue until the same time next day. The dancing was usualy held in the barn of the farm yard which would be cleaned up and decorated for the occasion.
    With the night would come from the surrounding district these who would not be invited to the wedding but were expected just the same. In fast it would be a disappointment if they did not come but they were never known to disappoint. They used be regged up much the same as the wren boys of the present day, the only difference being that instead of wearing
