  2. There are not many heor heroes in this parish. There was a man named JOhn Power, Kilcanavee, Killmacthomas. This man had no feet and his hands were turned in from his birth. He was a wonderful man. He used buy bread in Kilmacthomas and sell it with other things. He used go around from door to door in a donkey and cart and did this for over thirty years.
