    are two square holes in each of the side walls. Under the holes are the letters I.H.S. It is said that long ago people used to be hanged here and that the person's arms were put into each of the holes. They would fall down into water below when dead. The people around Weir View and Mill Bank always call it 'Daddy Teeling's Well'.
