- (continued from previous page)A fund was organised for the parents of the victims. The committee of the fund gathered a few hundred pounds for the relations of the boys. The bodies were buried in the Kill O' the Grange Cemetry.
- In 1932 a pleasure steamer the "Cynthia" was wrecked at the West Pier and dashed against the rocks, when this happened there was one man on board but he escaped without being hurt.
When the storm had ceased, chairs, cushions and parts of a piano could be seen floating around on the water.
