    President of the Land League in 1871. Died 1891. Aged 45 years. 1846-1891. Claimed L5000 off the London Press for accusing him of murder. His marriage to Kitty O'Shea caused a big scandale. Split in his party known as "Parnell Split" 1890. One quarter of his party remained with him. The other three quarters fell away and became known as "Healyites". Died the following year of a broken heart.
