    the sea. the other part of the cave used to go under ground to Cliff Castle Hotel but is blocked up no. The man who looked after the well was Frank Maughan who went religious mad. the sky-lights are the only thing to save you going to the well. On one of the sky-lights are Roman figures. The sky-lights were put in by J. Quinn in 1801.
