This is a new forge and the smith is a stranger.This forge is situated on the road-side between Cavangarden Post Office and the Creamery.It is a small stone building with a thatched roof. There is a wide door on it and there is a horse shoe on the door. The bellows are large. They were not made locally.The implements he uses are:- a rasp, a hammer, a box of nails and he wears a leather apron.He shoes horses and asses.He makes harrows, spades, grubbers, tongs, gates, crooks, gates and carts.
