This is a story about Fionn Mc Cumhaill.
Once upon a time Fionn Mc Cumhaill was hired with the King. The King used to put Fionn out every day to look after cattle that was out on a hill that was next to the palace. [Oo?] One day he went out and he saw a man coming towards him. When he was near him he knew that this man wanted to see him for something. Fionn was only small at the time and he got afraid when he saw the man coming because he thought he was going to kill him so he ran for his life to the palace. When he reached the palace he told the Queen his story and the Queen told him then that she would put him into a cradle and tell the man that it was a child of her own that was in it. So she done this. When the man came in he asked the Queen where was Fionn Mc Cumhaill. She told him that he was away hunting. He asked her then what was in the(continues on next page)- Collector
