    In the olden times, the people used to eat only two meals in the day.

    the breakfast. In those days they usen't to get their breakfast until nine and ten o'clock. Sometimes, the people used to eat two meals of potatoes in the day. They used to drink a great lot of milk. Sometimes they used to get sweet milk and other times, they used to get buttermilk.
    In the olden times, the people used to have a small board at the side of the house to prepare their meals. When they were finished, they used to hang up the board on the wall. In some houses, they are to be found yet. They used only to get out bread and boxty bread. This is the way they used to make the oat bread. They used to put the meal into the dish and put boiling water on it. Sometimes they used to put carvey and sugar in it and leave it at the fire until it was done.
    In olden times, the people used to kill the bull calves and eat them. They used to kill them because there was no price for them. Sometimes, they used to salt the beef and, other times, they used not. In those times, they used mutton and fish. At that time, they had special meat on every set day. On Xmas day, they used
