- About sixty years ago there was a woman called Mrs. Margaret Carron who lived in the townland of Ballyalla, Ballintra, P.O. Co. Donegal. One Sunday evening when walking through Brownhall demense she slipped and fell into a deep hole or cave in the middle of the Pullins as that part of Brownhall estate was called. She was drowned in the hole and from that time out that place was called "Margaret's Hole".
