He was about to turn home when a little man about three feet high stepped out from a sceig bush with the cow by the horns and says “Here is your cow” Michael took the cow home and told his father all that happened When the cow milked she had not a drop.
Mr Mc Grane tried to milk her. His wife tried also, and so did others of the family, but the milk was gone. It was some time before the cow had the same amount of milk as used to have.
James Mc (Grance) Grane. Michael Mc Granes grandson who lives in Ballintra at present told me this story. The fairies took the milk from the cow.- Collector
