The cure was to put a pair of donkeys winkers on the person who had the mumps and led him to a well once every day for three days, each time taking a cup in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Some people have the cure for the worm toothache by placing their hand on the cheek they can kill the pain upon the instant. It is said if you place a worm on the persons hand that has the it dies.
