    for dinner.
An animal was killed and roasted
for the dinner. Then they drank, ate, sang and danced until the next day. The following day the bridegroom would go home, and after a week's time would come and take his bride home, or as it was known as the "drag home". The mothers and fathers of the bride and groom would be invited to the home of the newly married pair and there would be another big night. This would end the wedding festivities.
