I
On last July, the Orange cry was raised God save the Queen,
Down with the Pope and clergy and down with Erin's green.
They boasted William's heritage and drank their leaders health,
They swore they'd walk in Papist blood upon the following Twelfth.
II
They boasted they would celebrate the glories of the Boyne,
In Donegal and to that end, their various bands would join,
