They asked the Scotchman what happened him who was only getting out of the trance of the blow that the red-haired boy gave him. He told him that the red haired boy came in and knocked him down, took the hare out of the pot and went out on the door. Well now says the Irishman it is my turn to stay in so the other two went out with their rifles. The burly Irishman sat down and skinned the hare and put it in the pot and when it was boiling at a good rate in comes the red-haired boy on the door and asked the Irishman what he had in the pot. Its none of your business says the burly Irishman. Ill make it my business says the red-haired boy taking up his fist to strike the Irishman. The Irishman put up his left hand and capped the blow and he struck him with the right hand and tossed the red-haired boy on the floor, and when the red-haired boy was getting up, the Irishman gave him three kicks.
