- Lisfenny Castle is situated on the road that leads from Jallow to Jermay. It is half a mile from Jallow. No one has lived in this castle for three hundred years and it is a ruin now.
The Normans built it very long ago. For hundreds of years it has not been inhabited.
It is said that a long time ago a man lived ther with his wife and children. One day during the Crommwelllian Wars a troop of English soldiers were passing along and they attacked the castle. The owner and his wife tried to escape. There was(continues on next page)- Collector
