- (continued from previous page)There is a stream called, "Glenmore" about three miles outside Lismore. There is a place called "Gleann Caoirinn" about five miles outside Lismore at a place called Ballysaggart. There is a huge rock about a quarter of a mile at this side of Glen Garrah School House called Carraig na nGabhar. There is a big white thorn tree growing on the side of the road on the way to Mellerary about four miles outside Lismore.There is a bog about four miles from LIsmore called "Foley's Bog". There is a place called Cnoc an Aifrinn on the slopes of the Knock Mealdown Mountain. It is so called because Mass was said there in the Penal Days.(continues on next page)
