    fighting against King James. Some of Robert Cowan's decendants are still living in St Johnston and attending this school.
    One day while he was staying in St Johnston King James and his officers went up to Binion Hill which rises close to St Johnston from which there is a beautiful view. After looking all over the Lagan Valley he said to his Officers. "A land worth a fight my lords."
