- A man in Falbane built a load of lint (flax) one evening in readiness for the Strabane market. During the night the local young fellows took off the load. They then removed the wheels from the cart and lifted the body of the cart to the barn loft. Here they put on the wheels again and rebuilt the load nearby.
The farmer in the morning declared the "the ould devil did it".
With great difficulty he was prevented from pulling down his barn to get his cart out.
