- Mass was celebrated on Leifrin Hill.
This is a conspicuous hill - quarter of a mile from Churchhill on Letterkenny road. - The priests are held in great veneration. Nevertheless funny stories are sometimes told about religious matters.
These stories however are never irreverent.Example of This Kind of Story.....Once during the course of Evening Devotions the local priest got a "sick call".
He hurried off but instructed the parish clerk to go on with the Stations of the Cross. He intended to return before devotions were over, so he quietly whispered the clerk "to drag out Stations for as long a time as possible"
