Mumps: Any person whose father and mother are the same na,e can cure the mumps by putting a donkey's halter on the child once a day for thee days, taking to the nearest stream and giving him three sups of waters each time.
Rheumatism: Whale oil.
Burns and scalds: Baking soda and sowr milk.
Boils and Blisters: Boil leaves of a boutry bush, and make a plaster of it,
Evil: The people say that the seventh son of a family can cure the evil.
Warts: If someone would give you a leaf of tobacco and when not thinking on it run it on the wart, to put it under a stone then.
Rose: Get it rubbed with the person who has the cure. If a bone is put into a childs hand when it is born, it will have the cure.
Toothache: Pick out the white spot on a frogs back, hang it on a tree and when it withers the toothache will go away.
