    houses. The lark builds her nest in a field of corn or hay. The yellow- hammer and the white-wing build their nests in holly and ivy bushes. The cuckoo has no nest, and she lays her eggs on the ground, and carries them to some other birds nest.
    Each bird does not build the same kind of nest. The robin bills her nest of moss, feathers, hair and twigs. The wren builds her nest of moss on hair. It is a little round nest with a small hole in the side of it. The thrush builds her nest of sticks, moss and wool. The blackbird’s nest consists of sticks, feathers, wool and mud. The blackbird’s nest is a very rough nest. The lark builds her nest with hay, mud and wool. The white-wing bills her nest of moss, lime and feathers. The swallow builds her nest of mud and feathers.
