  1. Once upon a time, a girl lived in the house with her uncle. Her uncle died, and his neighbour came to the wake the first night. He had been very friendly with the dead man, and it was expected that he would send flowers. But he happened to be in very poor circumstances not having a single penny at the time.
On the second night, instead of going to the wake he proceeded to the graveyard where his friend was to be buried. There, he found a newly filled in grave with a wreath on it. Our friend removed the wreath, brought it home and sent to the wake-house, with an expression of sympathy.
Late on the night of the funeral the neighbour repaired to the graveyard, removed the wreath from his friends' grave and placed it where it rightfully belonged.
