    and put in sprouting boxes. There must be an eye in every piece or else it would not grow. Each piece is called a split.
    If a man has one horse his neighbor helps him. Then the man gives his neighbor his horse in exchange for is work.
    The manure is spread in the bottom of the drills. Then the potatoes are set on top of it. A space of one foot is left between each split. Then the drills are closed. In three weeks time they are saddle harrowed with a pair of saddle harrows and two horses. Then they are ploughed up with a drilling plough.
    A fortnight after that they are hoed with potato hoes. Then they are moulded. After the fifteenth of July they are sprayed with blue stone and washing soda. It is mixed with water in a barrel. It is put on them to prevent them from
