  1. No. 1-- A man called John Greene lived in Glenfinn once, and he was an excellent poet. He made one poem called “The Secret of Success” which he sent to his brother who was going to have a fight with a great boxer. Here it is:
    “If you think you are beaten you are.
    If you think you dare not, you don’t,
    If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
    It is almost certain you won’t.
    II
    If you think you are beaten you are.
    You’ve got to think high to rise
    You’ll have to be sure of yourself,
    Or you’ll never win that prize.
    III
    Those battles don’t always go
    To the stronger or faster man;
    But I know myself, dear Jim, you’ll win,
    If you only think you can.”
    No. 2—A poet named Jack Bonner once lived in Brockagh. One of the most famous poems he made was the one called: “Johnson’s Motor-Car.”
    No. 3—A poet named John Mac Gee
