    And said if horns does appear, with costic strong the buds besmear.
    Not that was bad but they done worse, for they destroyed our useful horse.

    For work to them was only fun, though aften fed on pounded whin.
    Ere train or motor took the road, at Derry we would pack their load.

    And never slack nor halt their load, except at Dan's of Barnes road.
    Where we refreshed ourselves and them, and cheery weed start off again.
    Those scothies now of which I speak, they would'nt make it in a week.
