When Miss McGinley the poetess was married she lived in the neighbouring townland to our school. My mother who is a niece of the poetess has copied a great many of her poems and I intend to collect many more and study them because our teacher has told me that Dr. Maguire who has written a book telling of the people of note in Glenswilly has said "Her elegant poems are chaste refined and spirited suggesting a comparison with Macauley's thrilling lays".
