    the churn is about nine years old. There is no mark on the side or bottom of it. The various parts of the churn are the churn staff, the lid, and the churn itself. There is a hole in the lid which the churn staff moves up and down.
    Every farmer has a churn. In summer the farmer churns three times a week. In winter when the milk is scarce the farmer only churns once a week. My mother and my sister does the churning. It takes them about an hour to churn It is done by hand. It is churned with a churn staff The churn staff is moved up and down. During churning boiling water is poured in because it makes the milk easy to churn. When the milk is churned a wooden butter dish is thoroughly scalted. It is then lifted off by butter and washed in cold water
