- Once upon a time when Colmcille was preaching he came to a place called Carrohill. In this place lived an old bachelor whose nick-name was Danny Herring. He lived in a little house made of stone and a wooden roof. Saint Colmcille said that it would be grown with grass before ninteynine years, and when the ninteynine years was up, the old man was gone, and the houses is covered with grass. There is nothing but the old ruins under the grass. It is called Dannys Castle.
