Ould Drass got feared and commenced to pray,
And at last succeeded in getting John away.As John came out on Carrowhill Road,
No one would have believed he had got his load,
He cut a skip and gave Drass a clout,
And coaxed him over to the shop for stout.How long the frunk there I do not know,
At last ould Drass got up to go.
Then John he minded on some Sugar and Tay
And at twelve o'clock they started on their way.If they'd kept the Road things would have been fine,
But Drass insisted they go up the line.
Then John he tripped against a Telegraph pole,
And him and ould Drass fell into a hole.They were not drown I understand,
For John arrived home at half past wan,
