    built in 1430 and is still in a fairly good state of preservation. There is said to be an underground tunnel leading from the keep to Ballynary.
    In a cave near to where Father Hegarty was beheaded he kept in hiding.
    His sister brought him his food secretly and when her husband found out his hiding place he conveyed the news to the soldiers and received a small amount of money as a reward.
