    (2) Boil whin blossoms in a quart of water and drink.
    Boils:
    (1) Put Venus turpentine on a cloth and apply
    (2) A poultice of loaf bread boiled in milk.
    (3) A poultice of Indian porridge.
    Flatulence:
    (1) Melt a teaspoonful of soda and drink it.
    (2) Half a cup of milk with half a teaspoonful of soda melted in it and drink.
    Headache:
    (1) Tie a cloth around the head.
    (2) Soak a cloth in vinegar and tie around the head.
    (3) Put a cloth on a bush on St. Brigid's night. After that when the head is sore tie the cloth on it.
    Toothache:
    (1) Put snuff on the tooth.
    (2) Hold alum on the tooth, and let it dissolve.
    (3) Put salt-petre on a piece of cotton-wool and apply.
    (4) Put a drop of iodine on the tooth.
    Mumps:
    (1) Put winkers on the head and then go to a stream that is running south and take a sip.
