    In this district, there were a few poets. The names of them are Mickey Mc Laughlin, Tullynavin, Dan Doherty, Carricmaquigley and John Greene Drunghill.
    Mickey McLaughlin was known as "Mickey the painter." The most common of the songs that they made were the " Home Rule Bill ", " The Ball in the Broagh, " and " The Mountain dew."
