  2. Christenings in Moville long ago were not like the Christenings we have now.
Long ago after the baby was christened a party was given in the house of its parents. At this party the people used to sing Irish songs and dance Irish dances.
If there was any person in the village who could tell what the future would bring to the baby that person was invited to the party to tell the baby's fortune.
This was the way the day of a christening was celebrated long ago.
