  1. Once upon a time "priest hunting" was common in this parish of Culdaff. The rock is still to be seen in "Tams' Glen" where a priest often said Mass.
    One day when he was finishing Mass he was told the soldiers were in the village of Culdaff looking for him. When he had Mass finished he "was on" by Derry as "hard" as he could.
    When the soldiers came close to him he jumped over a river where the soldiers horse could not jump. The mark of the priest's foot
